| American education has seen competing cycles of "progressive education" and "traditional education." TRCS incorporates both viewpoints into our curricular and instructional approaches. We believe that education can be lively and challenging at the same time, that teachers with strong instructional goals can also be child-centered, that our cultural heritage can be conveyed while student interests are recognized, and that high academic standards can be achieved while recognizing high standards of respect for every person in the community. In every classroom we have a strong commitment to diversity and heterogeneity and strive to see the unique talents of each student. |
